My work is
influenced by everything around me, I am open to every possibility
of creation and work in all materials regardless of their nature.
I love colour and am fascinated by the infinite combinations the
spectrum offers us. I like to address a complex matrix of issues.
If I can alter a persons perception, even to a nano degree, I
feel I have achieved something.
If I can
awake an interest, or a new appreciation of art, it has all been
worthwhile.
My upbringing
through the decades of pop culture and music have no doubt had
a strong influence on my work. My extensive travels throughout
Africa and my close contacts with African culture, as well as
my years spent in the Middle East are creative tools which I can
draw upon and use to express myself. These multicultural experiences
have all had a great impact upon me and my work.
I am pleased
beyond my wildest dreams, at last to have come home to become
an artist and live for what I create, rather than living from
what I created.
